I believe...

The womb is a sacred space, a place of medicine making.

It is the root of the female body, a well of wisdom, a portal where spirit becomes form, and the seat of our embodied creative power. But it can also be where we carry physical and emotional pain and wounds.

For thousands of years, our ancient feminine wisdom has been cast out, degraded and buried. The sacred rites of menstruation, childbirth and menopause have been pathologized and shrouded in shame. We’ve been taught to distrust our bodies, and hand over her authority.

WombWell offers a way back to the vitality, wisdom and power of our wombs. Drawing on my training in Holistic Pelvic Care™, osteopathic medicine, yoni steaming and womb awakening work, I hold a sacred space for deep healing and reconnection to the very root of your being.

  • Preparation: After booking, you’ll receive a brief intake form to learn about your body, your history and your desires for support. I’ll also include details about how you might want to prepare for our session.

The Session: We’ll first sit down to arrive into the space together, discuss what brought you here, and presence into your intention. Next, we may review any supportive education around the physical, energetic and mystical side of the pelvic bowl. Then, we’ll move into the hands-on portion, where I’ll provide gentle assessment, and use physical and energetic techniques to address your symptoms and support your intentions.

Integration: The healing continues unfolding as the body, mind and spirit respond to the work even after the session comes to a close. We will discuss some reflections or practices you may want to feel into at home.

  • No - much of this work is often energetic, in addition to providing physical touch. I will not provide internal touch if it is not desired or if you or I/we feel your body is not ready for it. I feel it’s important to not rush into internal work, as I believe in working with the cues and readiness of the body and giving her time and space to receive it, rather than as something we’re doing to the body.

  • I do not use internal techniques during pregnancy; however energetic and visualization tools can be extremely supportive in connecting with the pelvic bowl during pregnancy and in preparing for birth.

  • Anytime at or after 6 weeks is the guideline I recommend for internal pelvic care. This work can be very supportive for healing after pregnancy and birth, and beginning around the 6 week mark if you’re feeling ready, can address any imbalances early in your postpartum journey, as well as assist the healing from a difficult or traumatic birth. Energetic and external bodywork can also be used sooner if desired.

FAQs

  • Hands-on care can be greatly supportive for women who had a c-section, as it addresses the effects of pregnancy, labor, and if there was a prolonged vaginal birth attempt. After 6-8 months postpartum, a woman can receive internal myofascial as well as fascial work directly on the Cesarean mark. If there are any emotional difficulties around the birth, these sessions can help a mother meet and move her emotions and process the birth.

  • Yes, holistic pelvic care work can be very comforting to the body and help women reconnect with their body and restore hope. Working with the birth field energy can also support connection with the spirit that touched their womb.

  • When experiencing infertility, there can naturally often be frustration and grief with and held in the body, and hands-on pelvic care can provide gentle, reverent and nourishing support for the womb and give women a space to feel held and nourished and to deeply connect with their pelvic space and energy.

  • Women can receive internal pelvic care at any point in their cycle. In fact, menstrual blood is very nourishing to the intravaginal tissue, and menstruating is a natural time of release and therefore may assist in the healing process.

  • Depending on the circumstances, I may recommend yoni steaming either during a session or offer supplies to rent and steam at home. I do not currently offer sessions that involve solely yoni steaming.
