ABOUT
SARAH SCHOTT

mother | doula | womb worker | threshold tender

Mothers,

It’s time to step into our sacred role as weavers of planetary change.

If your heart is aching for the world, but your hands feel too full to help, know that your mothering is a powerful force for change. The way we tend to ourselves, our children and our lives is important grassroots work against the oppressive, extractive systems that have our world on fire.

We hold the future generations in our wombs, our hearts and our arms. Our wombs are a bridge between spirit and matter, a well for our creative potential - for our babies yes, as well as for the rest of our life. As we birth our children, we are invited to be reborn too - in a total-life initiation into becoming more of who we really are, connected deeply with our power, values, joy, unique voice and authenticity.

Healing our wounds and stepping more fully into who our soul came here to be is perhaps the most revolutionary work we can do. Because what this world really needs is deeply rooted Mothers. Mothers who go first and lead the way, so that the next generations of children grow up centered in themselves, grounded in love, and not afraid to raise hell.

A love note to my children

My Story

Looking back, the seed of this work was planted in me from a young age.

Losing my Grandmother to ovarian cancer at age 6 left me with both a desire to work with women’s health, and a deep fear of my own body. I later suffered from an eating disorder, and when my cycle stopped, I was just put on the birth control pill, no questions asked.

While at medical school, it became clear to me how disconnecting and disempowering the system can be. This led me to explore more holistic approaches, and I became a personal trainer and health coach.

A few years on, on a retreat with Rebecca Campbell in Glastonbury, England, I encountered the Sacred Feminine and felt the tectonic plates of my being and world shift completely. It was an ancient remembering, a reactivation, the beginnings of a sacred reclamation.

I began learning about womb wisdom, and finally got back my cycle back naturally. I once again felt new pieces of myself come back online, like I was exiting a haze I had been trapped within unknowingly for 10+ years.

And then came Motherhood…

I’ve experienced deep loss and tough times in the past, but nothing came close to this. Becoming a mother stirred up wounds and stories from my childhood. My anxiety kept rising, my frustration turned to rage, and my inner critic tore me to shreds on a daily basis. And I felt trapped, lost, and like I was failing. I wanted to be a mom so badly, but I was overwhelmed, breaking apart, and my soul ached for more.

I now see that moterhood was my own rebirth portal.

They say that our children choose us. That they’re here to be our spiritual teachers, mirroring back where we need to heal and reparent ourselves.

As I pulled on the threads of my fraying self, the patriarchal lies and stories I’d been stuck in began to unravel as well. I began to see what was truly mine, and what was not. I followed those threads into somatics, holistic pelvic care, and matrescence studies, slowly reweaving myself into a truer, freer existence.

Motherhood has taught me to see the magic in the mundane, to turn everyday moments into sacred rituals, to show up for myself before my to-do list. It has reconnected me with my power and purpose, both in and outside of motherhood. It has changed how much space I allow myself to take up, and ignited a ferociousness inside of me to advocate for myself, my children, and the world.

My mission is to support other women through the sacred portal that is Motherhood, because a mother who is in her joy and power is a revolutionary force to be reckoned with.

I’m a ⅗ Generator, Libra Sun, Aquarius Moon, Libra Rising, INFJ. Highly Sensitive Person, Enneagram 4 wing 3.

I tried using a digital planner, but it seems I’m a diehard pen and paper kind of girl.

I’ve been plantbased and thriving for 12+ years.

I’ve completed 5 marathons, once on a broken foot, with heatstroke on a 88 degree day; and another time through a hurricane.

In another life (and if I had the talent), I would be a singer songwriter, no question. In this life, my inner songstress comes out in kitchen dance parties with my daughter. And yes, we were one of the top Taylor Swift listeners on Spotify last year… I have the video from Taylor herself to prove it lol.

Being in nature always reminds me of my nature…

I’m a voracious reader and have dreamed of having my own “Beauty and the Beast library” complete with a rolling ladder since I was 6.
